Should my child have braces at age 8, 11, or 14 or not at all?
- Any answer could be correct, depending on the individual situation of each child.
Dr. Weller is dedicated to the philosophy that an once of prevention of orthodontic problems is worth a pound of cure. Nowhere is this more evident than with our Pre-Treatment Monitoring Program. This program is especially geared for actively growing children and includes the initial consultation, any diagnostic records (including digital x-rays, pictures, and models), all necessary referrals, and any periodic check-ups every 6 or 12 months, at no charge. Severe problems are avoided or minimized if caught early enough. Regular monitoring often avoids impacted teeth and reduces the need for permanent tooth extractions. Even though most patients do not require treatment from ages 7 through 10, monitoring can begin at this time in order to treat them at the most effective time for their maturity, growth, and specific needs.
